Monocoque Manager

Main Task

You will be the main responsible for the Monocoque team. As a manager you will be responsible for the following subsystems: Monocoque Designers, Production & Impact Attenuator, Driver Interface, Ergonomics & Safety, Structural Equivalence & Testing and Inserts & Simulations . One of your key tasks is that your team meets deadlines and to provide access to the right equipment, material and knowledge. All of these, with a main goal: get the car done with high quality, complying with structural and safety rules, within a very specific timeframe. You will also be responsible to contact sponsors and to ensure that everyone in the subteam contacts the necessary professionals for each specific area. This position requires constant and fluid communication with all the other subteams as the monocoque is the ‘skin’ of the car, interacting, protecting and integrating all the other subsystems. Your work will be more focused on design, planning and preparation during the first part of your LFS adventure and will change to more testing and documentary part when the design is finished, so you need to be prepared for a creative way of thinking but also with good capacity of structure and record all the specifications of the car.

Your Profile

You should have a genuine interest in carbon fiber, materials, structural calculation and simulations. You should be highly comfortable with FEA and CAD. You have great time-keeping, organisational and communicative skills that you can use to make sure the project stays on time and achieves the high level of quality we aim for. It is highly valuable if you are able to think out of the box, if you are passionate to solve problems and if you have transversal technical competences.
