Tractive System Electronics

Main Task

The Tractive System, TS for short, is defined as all the electronics in the high current path. This means, ideally speaking, having knowledge and understanding over the electronics between the batteries and the engine. The position covers everything from the precharge circuits of the vehicle, to the compartment that contains them (although it’s primarily the Accupack positions job). You’ll be working closely with the people in charge of the inverter and motor, accupack, Low voltage circuits and more. In ethos with everything Formula Student related, challenges will be frequent, but together with the team, and more importantly the voltage subteam, you’ll be solving these issues equally frequently.

Your Profile

You should have an interest in designing electronics and hardware. You should also have an interest in learning how the LiPo – cells work including their risks and how to reduce these.
